The NYPD Guardians Association purchases tickets for other organizations’ events to sell back to the membership at reduced rates. We are currently holding tickets for the following upcoming events. Members are afforded the privilege of securing tickets for these events at a reduced price. Membership is verified by the Membership Chair. If the members fails to attend after securing a ticket(s), they will be charged for the FULL PRICE of the ticket(s) secured.
Events are as follows:
In May of 1960, eleven years after the organization was established ,Black Policewomen were granted membership into the NYPD Guardians Association . True to our nature, we went right to work establishing ourselves as part of the organization. On May 22,1960 the Guardianettes led a parade for the first time in the organization’s history as part of the 369th Veteran’s Association’s Annual Memorial Parade which took place in the Bronx.
Join us as we commemorate our 59 Years of Full Membership at our “Women of the Guardians Brunch” at Villa Russo’s 101-12 Lefferts Boulevard, Queens NY. There will be raffles, door prizes, as well as Guardians products on sale. Special recognition will be given to our Trailblazers Past & Present on Saturday, May 18, 2019. Doors open at 11:30 am. Program will begin at 12 noon.
Ladies, make sure to wear your Hats and Fascinators…There will be Prizes for that as well.
50th ANNUAL AFRICAN AMERICAN DAY PARADE

Calling all Guardian Membership Family & Friends
Join us the year for the 50th Annual African American Day Parade. This year’s theme is “Integrity and Transparency = Good Government” and this organization will be continuing our celebration by marching in this parade where organizers will be honoring individuals and organizations that have made key contributions to furthering the dignity, determination and excellence of African American Community through Politics and Government. This year’s Grand Marshalls are:
Parade Route will be Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd, 111th Street – 136th Street.
Uniform of the Day: Active Members of the Service will march in Dress Uniform
Civilian Members & Retirees: Comfortable Walking Shoes w/ African Inspired Attire. More information will follow. Check back with us as updates become available.
