The NYPD Guardians Association purchases tickets for other organizations’ events to sell back to the membership at reduced rates. We are currently holding tickets for the following upcoming events. Members are afforded the privilege of securing tickets for these events at a reduced price. Membership is verified by the Membership Chair. If the members fails to attend after securing a ticket(s), they will be charged for the FULL PRICE of the ticket(s) secured.

Calling all Guardian Membership Family & Friends
Join us the year for the 49th Annual African American Day Parade. This year’s theme is “Culture is Key” and this organization will be continuing our 75th Anniversary celebration by marching in this parade where organizers will be honoring individuals and organizations that have made key contributions to furthering the dignity, determination and excellence of African American Culture, in the fields of dance, theater, music, movies, television, broadcasting, literature, fashion, technology, sports, and more. This year’s Grand Marshalls are:
- Arthur Mitchell, Renowned Dancer & Founder Dance Theater of Harlem
- Cheryl Wills, Veteran Anchor Spectrum News NY1
- Tom Joyner, Host of Tom Joyner Morning Show Radio 103.9
- Ann Tripp, News Director WBLS & WLIB
- Doug E Fresh, Hip-Hop Artist & Entertainer
Parade Route will be Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd, 111th Street – 136th Street.
Uniform of the Day: Active Members of the Service will march in Dress Uniform
Civilian Members & Retirees: Comfortable Walking Shoes w/ African Inspired Attire. More information will follow. Check back with us as updates become available.
