Eric Boehlert, media critic, and journalist from N.J. dies in a bike accident 

Eric Boehlert, a media critic from Montclair hailed for his progressive journalism and exposing misinformation 

Has died in a bike accident in the township, according to his family. 

Through his journalism, social media, books, and appearances on CNN and MSNBC 

Eric was a fierce defender of democracy, social justice, and truth in the media 

He was fearless and brilliant in his investigation of hypocrisies and double standards in the media 

Eric's contribution was priceless 

Mr. Boehlert was struck by a New Jersey Transit train while riding his bicycle near the Watchung Avenue station in Montclair 

His death was confirmed by his wife, Tracy Breslin. 

Boehlert is survived by his wife, Tracy Breslin, and children Ben and Jane.
