Game of Thrones actor arrested for alleged contact with a minor for a sexual offense. Joseph Gatt was arrested by the LAPD earlier this month
“Game of Thrones” alum Joseph Gatt was arrested earlier this month after allegedly engaging in “online sexually explicit communication with a minor across state lines.”
The Los Angeles Police Department served a search warrant at Gatt’s LA home on April 6 and subsequently arrested the 50-year-old “Banshee” actor, per an LAPD press release.
Gatt, 50, was taken into custody and booked with an outstanding felony warrant for contact with a minor for a sexual offense.
LAPD’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which is investigating the case, said it was an “ongoing investigation” and encouraged anyone with additional information to contact the police.
Gatt denied the accusations in a Twitter post on Wednesday, writing, “I obviously want to address the absolutely horrifying and complete untrue allegations recently leveled against me.”
He continued, “They are 100% categorically wrong and reckless. I have confirmed errors and misleading information in today’s press release.
I am fully cooperating with the police and LAPD to get to the bottom of this. I look forward to clearing my good name.”
“Thank you to all of my friends and supporters who know that this is untrue and understand for legal reasons I cannot comment further on social media,” he added.
