Memphis Grizzlies’ Ja Morant wins NBA Most Improved Player 

Ja Morant has been named the 2021-22 NBA Most Improved Player. 

The hardest step up, the most challenging improvement to make in the NBA is from star to superstar. 

Morant received 38 first-place votes out of the 100 casts (by selected media members) 

Dejounte Murray finished in second place with 183 points (20 first-place votes). 

Darius Garland finished in third place with 178 points (11 first-place votes).  

Morant averaged 27.6 points and 6.7 assists a game this season.  

He took on a much larger role in the offense and increased his efficiency, a rare combination.  

Morant averaged a career-high 27.4 points, 6.7 assists, and 5.7 rebounds in 33.1 minutes in 57 games.
